Cinderella’s Closet: Prom Dresses for Tucson Girls!
Have you heard of Cinderella’s Closet? It’s an organization providing prom dresses for Tucson girls that need a little help. It’s not about world hunger or safe water but still an important local organization that is making a difference for local girls! I plan on helping, I hope you will too.
How you can help!
They already have 600+ dresses but if you have a dress to donate I know they would still appreciate it. Don’t let a recent prom, formal or bridesmaid dress go to waste. I am ashamed to admit my own prom dress wasted away in my closet for over 10 years, well past it’s prime. So silly. I have 2 recent bridesmaid dresses that I plan on donating soon. The purple one is super cute…. (or maybe it’s my boys that are super cute ;-))
Cinderella’s Closet accepts dresses at the following locations:
Northeast: Melissa Tureaud State Farm Agency, 7485 E. Broadway Blvd. (520)270-7833
South: Alva Maldonado State Farm Agency, 5422 S. 12th Ave., Ste A (520)889-3366
West: Betty Ann Coyne Agency, 1527 W. St. Mary’s Rd. (520)295-1100
Northwest: Regina Hart State Farm Agency, 8295 N. Cortaro Rd., Ste 101 (520)744-1857
Please keep in mind they can only use clean and current dresses, dresses a high school girl would want to wear.
Even if you don’t have a dress to donate, they DESPERATELY need hangers. They would appreciate $10 donations (can be done via paypal and they can provide a tax donation letter). Or you can go to Costco and purchase a box of Slim Black Felt Hangers and drop them off. You can contact Melissa Tureaud (Melissa@melissatureaud.com or 520-270-7833) for more information about donating hangers or money.
Need a dress?
If you know a girl who needs a dress, have them head over and register on the Cinderella’s Closet website. They have dress events March 24th, April 6th, April 7th and April 13th.
