Having toured the renovated Wyndham Lake Buena Vista twice now, I can safely recommend staying there. The value and amenities offered are awesome and make me consider staying off property on our next Walt Disney World adventure. Check out why you should consider staying there too.
3 Reasons To Stay At The Wyndham Lake Buena Vista
The Wyndham Garden rooms start at rates comparable to or cheaper than a Disney value resort but with features that I think are more similar to a Disney moderate resort. The rooms were also much nicer than the basic budget rooms you find at Pop Century. Some tower rooms offer views of Disney Springs and the surrounding theme parks. The Wyndham does have a resort fee for all guests and parking fees for those with cars, keep those in mind when comparing prices.
The Wyndham Lake Buena Vista is the closest hotel to Disney Springs, in fact, it’s just across the street. The Wyndham offers several dining options, a fun pool area and a Director of Fun that plans daily activities. However, the major benefit of its location is the proximity of Disney Springs. Disney Springs offers so much more to do including over 50 dining options, free and premium entertainment options like Splitsville Luxury Lanes and La Nouba by Cirque Du Soleil and over 100 retail shops.
3. Disney Fun
While the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista is not owned by Disney, it is an official Walt Disney World Resort which means it offers some official Disney fun. One of their more popular hotel features is the Disney Character Breakfast, three days a week. The character breakfast usually features a few of Disney’s Fab Five characters and is cheaper than character meals in the parks. Their “Director of Fun” will even pin trade with you! You can also pick up official Disney merchandise in their gift shop and the hotel offers complimentary transportation to the parks.
After touring the Wyndham, I had the opportunity to check the new line up of 2018 Ford vehicles. We spent time exploring the 2018 Explorer, EcoSport, Expedition and Fusion. I was super impressed by the Fusion’s self-parking feature. It was sort of crazy to see it in action as a passenger. The coolest feature as a traveling mom though is the ability to connect up to 10 devices with the Ford wifi hotspot in the 2018 Explorer. Plus who doesn’t appreciate the power folding 3rd-row seat? And the Expedition features USB ports in the headrest and between the back seats. We are always looking for additional USB connections in vehicles!
Both the Wyndham and Ford were sponsors of the Traveling Mom retreat and my onsite tour and vehicle experience were as a result of the retreat.
