Disney Springs may offer an amazing selection of dining options but this girl prefers Disney’s BoardWalk for a large selection of restaurants because of it’s awesome location. Located in between Epcot and Disney Hollywood Studios and surrounded by 5 Epcot area resorts, it’s easy to pop over for a meal while visiting either park or on the way back to your room.
Disney’s BoardWalk Table Service Locations
Big River Grille & Brewing Works
I’ve yet to try this family friendly microbrewery but the Kobe Burger and Blackened Mahi Mahi Sandwich look awesome. They also offer other adult beverages beyond beer, including mixed drinks and wine.
Trattoria al Forno
Trattoria al Forno is a casual Italian restaurant and the only sit-down restaurant offering breakfast on Disney’s BoardWalk. My mom and I had breakfast there last week. Beyond the traditional breakfast foods offered including Mickey Waffles, the cured Italian meats caught my eye because I am not a traditional breakfast food fan. It was a delicious brunch option for me paired with their fresh fruit bowl!
The ESPN Club is one of my husband’s favorite Disney places to eat. With almost 100 video monitors and global satellite feeds, it’s definitely a fun place for big sports fans to eat and catch a game. The ESPN Club features classic American pub fare like hamburgers, seafood, and sandwiches.
Flying Fish Cafe
The Flying Fish Cafe is a fine dining restaurant which means it does require guests to adhere to a dress code and is also on the pricier side. Currently, it’s undergoing refurbishment with no opening date available.
Disney’s BoardWalk Quick Service Locations
Funnel Cake Cart
The perfect stop for your sweet tooth, offering funnel cakes, cotton candy and fried ice cream!
Grab a slice or a whole pie, plus salad and drinks.
The BoardWalk Bakery is the perfect place to stop into for a quick breakfast on your way into the park or a snack on your way out of the park. This is also one of the rapid fill refillable mug locations. Refillable mugs include unlimited soda, coffee, tea and hot cocoa for $16.49 for the entire length of your stay at select resort locations.
Plus, at the BoardWalk Bakery, you can special order cakes if you are celebrating something special on your trip. They also offer the white and chocolate celebration cakes (just like most Disney restaurants) all… My mom and I were celebrating our birthdays last week during our trip, so we splurged on a white birthday cake. The BoardWalk Bakery even customized it for us!
The To-Go Cart
Stop here to grab a quick all American favorite including hot dogs, hamburgers, pulled pork, buffalo wings, and nachos.
Leaping Horse Libations
Located near the Luna Park Pool at the BoardWalk Villas, Leaping Horse Libations offers sandwiches, drinks and snacks.
BoardWalk Joe’s Marvelous Margaritas
Beyond a variety of margarita options, you’ll also find nachos, roasted pecans, and Mickey pretzels!!
I’m happy staying at any of the Epcot area resorts but an added benefit when staying at the BoardWalk Villas is a kitchen in your room. Just stop by the Screen Door General Store on the BoardWalk to pick up groceries. With little ones I prefer to have breakfast in our room but I also love having restaurant options available nearby. Resort residences in the BoardWalk area are a perfect fit. While at the Traveling Mom retreat, I learned about Vacatia, a new website that can help you find the perfect resort residence for your next vacation! Vacatia only curates resorts that meet a strong set of criteria, most importantly they ask themselves if they would be comfortable with their own mother staying at the resort. They resorts range from big to small, located in a variety of popular vacation destinations. And yes the Disney DVC locations like BoardWalk Villas are available on Vacatia!
I met with Vacatia while attending the Traveling Mom Retreat and learned more about their service. No compensation was received for this post.
