I don’t know about you but it’s starting to look a lot like Halloween around here. I haven’t actually started decorating yet but I am definitely in costume making mode! I’ve also started brainstorming fun Halloween snack ideas. The boys are “starving” when they get home from school and always ask for a treat. I’m guessing ice cream bars all summer long warped their brains! I need to retrain them, so they realize they don’t need a treat everyday after school. The easiest way to do that is to serve fun (and healthier) snacks. In honor of one of our favorite holidays, I created a fun collection of healthy Halloween snacks.
There’s plenty of time for extra sweet treats at holiday parties and after trick or treating. I prefer to not have to avoid excessive candy and sweets leading up to Halloween.
