Christmas may be the furtherest thing from everyone’s mind right now but NOW is the perfect time to start planning a trip to visit Disneyland during the holidays this year. Holiday time at Disneyland is extra special and one of my favorite times to visit. It’s been a couple years since we’ve made a Christmas visit and I think it needs to be on our 2014 bucket list! I thought I share a few pictures and details to entice you….
Some rides are decorated for the holidays like It’s a Small World and the Jungle Cruise, newly themed as the Jingle Cruise for the first time in 2013!
You can expect to find all your Disney favorites dressed up for the holidays, including Mickey and Minnie!
If you head over to Disney California Adventure, you’ll find Mater in his Christmas finest as well!
New this year was the Disney ¡Viva Navidad! celebration.
Disney ¡Viva Navidad! is a merry celebration inspired by the warmth and joyous spirit of the Latino culture, filled with holiday traditions, jubilant dancing and exciting music. The grand finale of “Disney ¡Viva Navidad!” was the special celebration of Three Kings Day (Dia de los Reyes) Jan. 3 through 6, 2014.
Also new this year was World of Color: Winter Dreams – an updated version of show featuring seasonal music and even characters from Frozen. Olaf is definitely a favorite around here, hopefully we can catch the show this year!
Now’s the time to start budgeting for a trip to see the Holidays at the Disneyland Resort. My tip to avoid the crowds is to visit in November before Thanksgiving or during the first couple weeks after Thanksgiving before the kids get out for Christmas break!
