I already shared the costume plan I had for Me, Peter and the boys. I think our costumes turned out great, I love it when a plan comes together! 😉
Peter’s President Business costume was simply a felt mask from Etsy and a suit with tie t-shirt from Amazon. Halloween is almost always as hot in Arizona, so Peter nixed wearing an actual suit. I think he still made a great President Business!
My DIY Lucy/Wyldstyle costume is just a black sweat shirt and yoga pants with a duct tape design. I found matching hair extensions at the 99 cents only store. The hardest part was pulling off the side pony tail, I am hair style challenged. 🙂
Elliot’s costume is an embellished ninja turtle costume from Target. I purchased a couple of ninja turtle costumes on clearance for Christmas presents last year. We didn’t have a Michelangelo version but we’re still able to use the green suit and turtle shell back as the costume base. Then I made an orange felt mask, added orange sashes, and a pair of DIY nun chucks.
Quinn’s costume is my favorite, probably because it was the most homemade out of the group. Check out my DIY Emmet Costume post from a few days ago.
We also had Bad Cop and Cleopatra in the house.
And Super Man and Green Lantern.
The Good Guys: Master Builders including Batman and Vitruvius!
The Bad Guys: President Business and Bad Cop!
The best part about a LEGO Movie theme is there are so many random characters in the background including a cowgirl! I’m not sure if Marge and Homer Simpson were actually in the movie but they are in the LEGO universe and I think they’d make a great addition to the LEGO Movie sequel!
Need more LEGO Movie costume options? How about UniKitty, Good Cop, Lord Business, Surfer Dude, Metal Beard, Hans Solo, Chewbacca, Benny, Ghost Vitruvius, Hazmat guy, Chef, etc … Really there are so many options which makes the LEGO Movie an awesome group costume theme!
