This week’s Frugal Ramblings is sponsored by Stiletto Media
This week on frugal ramblings I wanted to share some small changes I am trying to make my life better. They are just small time management and proactive improvements that will make a big impact.
Wake up 30 minutes earlier to exercise
I don’t know about you but I often wake up tired, so the thought of getting up even earlier does not make me jump for joy. On the other hand, I know that exercising regularly does improve my overall energy level. Plus I often stay up at least 30 minutes later than I should just mindlessly watching TV or surfing online, so it isn’t even a matter of less sleep if I just go to bed at a decent time.
Load the dishwasher throughout the day
We have a bad habit in our house of just filling the sink with dirty dishes until it’s overflowing. So crazy full that the thought of doing dishes is overwhelming! We need to take just a few minutes after every meal to put our dirty dishes in the dishwasher and then run it as soon as its full. Maybe the kitchen would stress me out less.
New one in, old one out
I recently cleaned out closets in the house and donated a lot of clothes and linens. I love how much space the closets have now and how easy it is to put things away without cramming things in! To prevent the closets from becoming overcrowded disasters again, we just need to follow the one in, one out rule. Anytime we bring new things into the house, we need to donate something.
These small changes won’t take too much effort but will help make a big impact in our lives, staying healthy, and simplifying chores is important to have fun.
Meals Per Hour
Speaking of small changes with a big impact, Toyota recently worked with the Food Bank For New York City and helped them increase the number of emergency meal boxes they could make from 25 to 450 per hour! A team from the Toyota Production System Support Center shared their knowledge on how to increase production and effectiveness with small changes.
You can help the Food Bank For New York City too!
I would LOVE if you would watch the Supermarché documentary to see what changes Toyota made and how it made a difference. Toyota will also donate one meal for each video view by July 19th (up to 1,000,000 meals).
What small change can you make in your life for a big impact?
