I thought it’d be fun to recap my 13 favorite travel adventures from 2013. I often share pictures of our adventures on instagram even if I never find the time to write a full blog post. For those of you that follow me on instagram, you’ve likely already seen most of these pictures – so please indulge me. 😉
I have to warn you this is a very picture heavy post, but I promise all the pictures are fun! In no particular order may I present my 13 favorite adventures from 2013 🙂
1. The Color Run
The Color Run Tempe turned out to be a very cold and wet event. Not a polar vortex but darn cold for us Arizona natives. It definitely made for a memorable first 5k experience!
2. Spring Scottsdale Trip
Cowboys, knights and trains – we were in little boy heaven last spring in Scottsdale.
I am so thankful I went back to Blissdom. It ended up being the last Blissdom conference.
4. Disney Social Media Moms at Berkley
I took a whirlwind 24 hour trip to Berkley for the Disney Social Media Moms On The Road Event. Complete with Disney talk, social media tips, and some of my favorite treats… Mickey Mouse Rice Krispies treats and bubble gum ice cream, 😉
This was our 2nd time at LEGOLAND and of course the boys LOVE it. It was our first time staying at theLEGOLAND Hotel, it’s definitely worth considering…
6. Chicago Cubs
7. Potawatomi Inn
The main purpose of our trip back to the midwest was a family reunion at the Potawatomi Inn. It was definitely a unique experience, the boys would have stayed in the lake all day if we’d let them!
8. Chicago Architecture and Boat Tour
9. Summer Scottsdale Weekend
10. RFTC Road Trip
Another bucket list item was seeing Peter’s favorite band Rocket From The Crypt again. I figured it wouldn’t happen since the band broke up, but it did. Peter and I managed a solo road trip to San Diego for the event (Thanks to Papa Joe and Grandma Patty)! We crashed with one of my best friends and tried Hodads for the first time. It was like we were in college again. 😉
11. Disneyland Halloween Fun
12. Disney California Adventure Tour
The Disneyland Resort offers hotel guests some exclusive activities including a Power Walk through Disney California Adventure before the park opens. It’s a neat 30 minute tour of the park as cast members get it ready for the day! My goal is to have fun impromptu adventures like this!
13. Snow Trip
Our last getaway of 2013 was up north to see the snow! We found plenty of it and a place to play at the Sunrise Lodge!
