Cinderella arrives in theaters this weekend, I had the chance to see a sneak peek earlier this week and really loved the movie. It’s a grown up fairytale with the right balance of sweetness, humor and magic. I’m not sure my little boys would love it as much as me but I do think they would enjoy the magic. If you’re on the fence about seeing it this weekend, check out why I loved it!
7 Reasons I love the new Cinderella movie!
1. Prince Kit
I was so happy to see a “Robb Stark” in a happy storyline. He deserves it. 😉
Lily James makes a beautiful Cinderella and you really root for her happiness.
3. The Locations
As one would expect Cinderella was filmed entirely in England. The gorgeous locations were really beautiful on-screen, I’d love to see a few of the locations in real life. The Fairytale traveler shares which Cinderella film locations are open to the public.
4. The Stepsisters
Even though the stepsisters are the villains in this tale, I couldn’t help but laugh at their ridiculousness. They definitely provided some comic relief. Of course I knew Cinderella would eventually have her happy ending.
5. Have Courage and Be Kind
Ella’s mother words of wisdom To Have Courage and Be Kind were a recurring theme in the movie and something I think everyone can work harder at.
6. Fairy Godmother Magic
I knew that Cinderella’s fairy godmother would need a pumpkin and a few animals to make Cinderella’s magical night possible. It was fun to see the magical transformations in live action vs animation.
7. Frozen Fever
Disney just announced they are working on Frozen 2, in the mean time you can get your Olaf fix with the fun little short Frozen Fever playing before Cinderella. Elsa’s planning a birthday party for Anna and there are a few hiccups (or rather sneezes) in the plan. 😉

A live-action feature inspired by the classic fairy tale, “Cinderella” brings to life the timeless images from Disney’s 1950 animated masterpiece as fully-realized characters in a visually-dazzling spectacle for a whole new generation.
