Quinn helped me organize all of our donations for the $10 Food Bank Challenge into boxes Tuesday night. Then we dropped them off at the local food pantry preschool yesterday. Quinn told me afterwards “I did a good job helping mama”. 🙂
Anyway, I am pretty happy with our results even though I ran out of time to grab extra freebies the last day. We ended up with 3 big boxes for under $10! The Frys Mega sale freebies really helped me bulk up my donation.
I only “paid” for three items:, peanut butter, dish soap and infant advil. I thought the infant advil was a fantastic deal and bought some for our family.I also thought it would make a great donation. The dish soap also seemed like a different, but practical donation that all families need. And of course peanut butter is a food pantry staple. I basically needed to spend $5 in a hurry and that seemed like the best value on my last shopping trip.
