I toured the renovated Wyndham Lake Buena Vista a few times over the years while on work retreats. The value and amenities offered are awesome and make me consider staying off property on our next Walt Disney World adventure.

The Wyndham Garden rooms start at rates comparable to or cheaper than a Disney value resort but with features that I think are more similar to a Disney moderate resort.

Some tower rooms offer views of Disney Springs and the surrounding theme parks. The Wyndham does have a resort fee for all guests and parking fees for those with cars, keep those in mind when comparing prices.

2. Location

The Wyndham Lake Buena Vista is the closest hotel to Disney Springs, in fact, it’s just across the street. The Wyndham offers several dining options, a fun pool area and a Director of Fun that plans daily activities.

However, the major benefit of its location is the proximity of Disney Springs. Disney Springs offers so much more to do including over 50 dining options, free and premium entertainment options like Splitsville Luxury Lanes and La Nouba by Cirque Du Soleil and over 100 retail shops.

While the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista is not owned by Disney, it is an official Walt Disney World Resort which means it offers some official Disney fun.

One of their more popular hotel features is the Disney Character Breakfast, three days a week. The character breakfast usually features a few of Disney’s Fab Five characters and is cheaper than character meals in the parks.
