We’ve been back to school a month now and I am finally getting settled back into a regular routine. Last spring kicked off some crazy adventures for us that lasted all summer. I don’t want to admit that we overdid it but maybe we did. I didn’t have time for any regular exercise and I’ve been feeling the effects. It’s time for me to get on a regular exercise schedule and start prepping for the Star Wars 10k Run Disney event I signed up for in January. This Miracle Marathon is my baby steps to start the process.
The Miracle Marathon is a 27-day virtual fundraising campaign in which participants run/walk (or achieve forward motion of any kind!) one mile per day at their leisure. The first 26 days are completed at the participant’s own pace—at a time and place of their own choosing. On Day 27, the final 1.2 miles will be started as a group at the same time (2:27 pm EST). It’s a marathon, plus a mile, for the kids!
Besides getting me back on track, I really want to participate in the Miracle Marathon to support TMC for Children. Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals® raises funds for 170 children’s hospitals across North America (including TMC for kids), which, in turn, use the money where it’s needed the most. I love the fact that when a donation is given it stays in the community, helping local kids. Everyone can get behind supporting their local community!
You can help make TMC for Children even better for kids and their families by participating in the Miracle Marathon. Register as a Miracle Maker for only $24.48 when you use my promo code MiracleKarenH. I’d LOVE if you’d join my team, Desert Chica or even create your own team to benefit any of the 170 network hospitals in the US and Canada.
