I’m so excited to have Stephanie from Spaceships and Laser Beams here today sharing tips for planning a Fireman Birthday Party! My boys love firetrucks and would love a fireman birthday party!
Fireman Birthday Party Decoration Ideas
Chances are you already have a fire truck in the toy box; you have the beginning of your decorations! Any type of fireman paraphernalia will add to party atmosphere: hats, boots, water slicker, hose, even a plush Dalmatian dog will work. Fire hydrants, ladders and a fire chief’s badge will add authenticity to the décor where shades of red, yellow, orange and black are the most requested colors. Children’s fireman hats are relatively inexpensive making them not only part of the decorations, but also a take-home favor. Fire hydrant style drink bottles do double-duty, too.
Fireman Birthday Party Food Ideas
A dessert/food table will be popular with the small fry and their moms when you include food with themed monikers. Hero sandwiches, veggie cups with hot stuff dip (in name only; no hot spice for most kids!) and cool-down Kool-Aid might join the cake and ice cream you’re sure to serve.
Fireman Birthday Party Games
A visiting fireman will be exciting for young guests who will learn to never play with matches and how to stop, drop and roll. Other games that work well at this party include: Pass the Hot Potato; Fire Hydrant Ring Toss; Find the Fire Hydrant (laminated pictures that are hidden at the party venue); and Obstacle Course (avoid falling timbers, walk on a narrow ledge, rescue the kitty). During an outside, warm weather party, water play is refreshing. Filling, carrying and emptying appropriate sized water buckets will be fun for little ones.
A fireman/fire truck themed birthday celebration is a fun activity that’s full of color. Any hero-minded small-fry will have a great time running around, making siren noises and putting out pretend fires with real water!
