We’ve been LeapFrog fans for a long time. From the Tag and Tag Jr. Readers to the Leapster Explorer, my boys have always enjoyed learning while having fun with the interactive LeapFrog products. Recently we were sent two new LeapFrog products to try out. These LeapFrog App Toys work with our existing iOS devices.
LeapFrog Creativity Camera
I am a big fan of the LeapFrog Creativity Camera Protective Case & App. The LeapFrog Creativity Camera App is free to download on an iOS device. However the Creativity Camera Case protects the iOS device (i.e your iPhone) while your kiddo is using it. Plus it unlocks the full version of the app. Oh and the kids think it’s super cool to have a fun “camera” – not just mommy’s phone.
With the Creativity Camera app, your child can take photos (1), edit photos with plenty of fun effects (2), and create fun selfies (3). The photos they take within the app are saved in the gallery. I love the fact that even when they choose to edit a picture, the original is saved within the gallery. You can also choose to save the picture to your iPhone camera roll (4) so you can share the pictures outside of the app.
Elliot was so excited to have a “kid” camera to use that he insisted on taking it to the bus stop to show Quinn as soon as he got off the bus. Quinn was equally excited and immediately started using it as we walked home.
We had a “tough” kids camera in the past which was may have been kid proof but was also “good picture” proof too. It took awful pictures and was a complete waste of money. I love that this case turns my phone into a decent kids camera that the boys enjoy using.
With the purchase of the Creativity Camera Protective Case, you unlock additional app features including a fun flying creature game and photo mission activity. My boys are big fans of the Creativity Camera app and case, I would definitely recommend it!
Learn to Write with Mr. Pencil™ Stylus
We were also sent the Learn to Write with Mr. Pencil™ Stylus & Writing App . This is another accessory that is used in conjunction with an iOS device. The Mr. Pencil Stylus is recommended for kids ages 3-6, perfect for us since Elliot is 3 and Quinn is 6! 🙂
Quinn already knows how to write his letters, however he needs more practice especially with keeping his lines neat. He likes to race through his homework making some of his letters illegible. The Mr Pencil app has a set tolerance for accuracy and will encourage them to try again if it’s too sloppy.
Elliot is just now attempting straight lines of ANY kind – he’s still scribbles a lot when he colors. He loves playing the same games as Quinn and I know practicing with a “pencil” will encourage him to learn his letters and numbers. He will definitely get a lot of use out of this app and stylus.
In this Mr. Pencil app you are helping prepare Doodleburg for Art Day. Kids travel from one area of town to the next helping them by drawing shapes, letters or numbers. This app is also free but the Mr. Pencil Stylus will unlock additional features.
I received these LeapFrog App Learning Toys as part of a campaign with Mom Select and LeapFrog. As always all thoughts and opinions are my own. This post also contains affiliate links which might help me buy a thirstbuster! 🙂
