Everyone vows or pledges to be more organized in January, right? After the craziness of the holidays I am ready to get our household back on track. Besides decluttering and organizing, I like to stock up on things we always need. One of the baby steps I took this week was stocking up on greeting cards for upcoming birthdays. I love picking up a few cute or funny ones to have one hand, so I’m not scrambling at the last-minute.
I even chose specific cards for the REALLY important people. 😉 Although the boys’ homemade cards are usually a big hit too. 🙂
Once you stock up, it’s essential to organize the greeting cards in some manner. The bottom of your file cabinet or under a stack of papers on your desk will only make you crazy or forget you bought them! I use a photo storage box with dividers for each occasion. You could also organize them by month if you really want to be on the ball. I was inspired to stock back up when I saw the greeting card section at Walmart! I found a big selection of super cute value greeting cards, how can you go wrong when they’re only 47¢ or 97¢ each!
