Working with pumpkins can be pretty messy even for responsible adults. And with little ones who may insist on doing it ALL themselves, carving isn’t the best option.
We were pretty successful with letting Quinn draw “a face” on his mini pumpkin. All it requires are a few sharpies or makers and some newspaper to keep the mess down.
I also had this awesome “Mr. Potato Head” type kit for the pumpkin. It was the pirate pumpkin version.
Quinn had his uncles helping him. I love that! Less work for mommy. 🙂
Quinn spent quite a bit of time putting the different parts on the pumpkin, taking them out and trying new places.
Here is our nice, virtually mess free Jack-O-Lantern that Quinn had lots of fun making!!
I am pretty sure I saw a vampire pumpkin version this year that I hope to score at 75% off!
