So I wrote about the cute but incorrect way Quinn speaks back in June. He has started correcting himself as he hears us repeat the “right” words, although I have to admit I still sometimes just repeat his words back to him.. , I know that soon enough he will cease his little boy speak. Or Quinn Speak as I call it.
Quinn has recently discovered Chunky Peanut Butter. We are big ridiculously HUGE peanut butter fans around here but as a typical preschooler Quinn is quite picky about lumps and bumps in food (P.S. lumps and bumps is a Grandma Patty term, not a Quinn term)
In fact when I made the super yummy granola bars for the first time, he had a fit when he saw the chunks of almonds in it. My solution was to just blend the almonds into a fine powder, so he doesn’t know they are in there!
So naturally stupidly I assumed that he wouldn’t like crunchy peanut butter.
Then as all THREE of my boys do, Quinn insisted on sneaking a bite of my food one morning, My breakfast happened to be Peanut Butter Toast with CRUNCHY peanut butter.
He was instantly hooked.
Ever since that morning he requests “Bread with the bumps in the peanut butter.” His PB&J are also made from Crunchy PB now.
However, I am not FOOLISH to think that he would now accept almond pieces in the granola bars…
That would make too much sense. And what preschool has ANY sense?
