As my kids have gotten older, I’ve found it hard to find gifts they really want. Sometimes it’s like pulling teeth to get a good list of ideas together. So I’m sharing a tween and teen gift guide to help anyone else that needs ideas for older kids. I hope it helps someone else!

Teen & Tween Gift Ideas
The products listed in my tween and teen Gift Guide are based on things my kids already own or things they have asked for. And of course my kids are boys, so the gifts are based on tween boys and teen boys. I consider most of the items gender neutral though.
Tween & Teen Gift Guide
Are you looking for a cool gift idea for a tween or teen? Check out this list that includes a variety of ideas to fit the 4 gift rule: something they want, something they need, something to wear and something to read.
Baby Yoda Squishmallow
The 20" Baby Yoda Squishmallow was a Costco exclusive item that sold out pretty much instantly. You can still find it from 3rd party sellers on Amazon, Ebay, OfferUp, Facebook Marketplace, etc.
Both of my boys have other Squishmallow stuffed animals and they love how soft they are. Combine that with Baby Yoda and you have an adorable tween/teen gift.
There are smaller versions for sale online as well but the 20" is the perfect oversized version that kids can use as a pillow on their bad or while watching a movie.
Baby Yoda Everything
If a Baby Yoda squishmallow is not in the cards, there is plenty of other Baby Yoda merchandise to choose from. Baby Yoda continues to be a very popular character for kids, teens and adults. Shop Disney has lots of fun Baby Yoda (The Child) merchandise including bedding, t-shirts, costumes, phone cases, toys, mugs, hats, water bottles, jewelry, etc. You can find something for just about everyone from the wide variety of products available. Or you can make a DIY Baby Yoda Gift using my cut file.

Gaming Headset
Both of my boys love playing video games and consider a good gaming headset essential. I definitely recommend purchasing them from a retailer with a good return policy (as with all electronic purchases) and avoiding generic headset brands.
The Logitech G533 Wireless Gaming Headset is the headset they asked for this year. Obviously cost is always a factor but you should also consider if it's wireless or wired and how durable it is. Tweens and teens are still kids who can be irresponsible.
Headset Stand
If you want your headset to last, I recommend a headset stand. This keeps the headset from being tossed in a drawer or trampled by other things if left on their desk. There are a wide variety of designs and price points for this, you could even DIY one if you like to make things.

Skullcandy Wireless Earbuds
A good set of rechargeable earbuds are a good idea for any tweens or teens with a phone or tablet. And since my kids tend to lose or wear them out over time, it's a gift that can be given year after year.

The Comfy
The Comfy is the ultimate wearable blanket and perfect for tweens and teens staying home more this year. They can cuddle up on the couch to complete school work or watch a movie. Both of my boys love wearing comfy clothing, so I know they will love this. There are both adult and kid versions, depending upon the size of your tween/teen. I saw the adult version at my local Costco recently.

adidas Men's Lite Racer
My boys love these slip on style casual running shoes. They are comfy and can skip tying their shoes.

National Geographic Kids Books
My kids love facts and so I jumped at the chance to check out a selection of National Geographic Kids Books. I was sent The Coolest Stuff on Earth: A Closer Look at the Weird, Wild and Wonderful, Wild and Wonderful, National Geographic Kids Almanac 2021, Nerdlet: Animals, and Brain Candy 2. All 4 books are fun and interesting, perfect for the kid that wants to know everything, the kid that doesn't want to read really long things or families that want interesting conversation starters.

Outdoor Trampoline
We've had our outdoor trampoline for several years and recently updated it with a new net and padding. Both boys enjoying bouncing on it several times a week. It's a great way to get them moving without a lot of space. They also love talking me into bouncing on it with them. 🙂

Yvolution Y Fliker
Y Fliker scooters work with a little hip wiggling and everyone (kids, parents and grandparents) love to ride them. Our newest Fliker is the Carver C5 Drifting Scooter, the boys love how smooth it rides. It's a fun activity for the whole family.
