It all started with a duck or rather a rubber duck. My boys have been collecting mini rubber ducks lately. When we found the wide variety of rubber ducks that Oriental Trading sold online, I let Quinn pick out his favorite to put in his birthday party goody bags. I figured it would be a good way to choose a party theme. That is how we ended up with a candy corn themed birthday party this year. It’s a little silly but Quinn loved and it was rather easy to pull off. If you are planning a candy corn themed party, don’t miss these simple candy corn party ideas.

A candy corn party is a perfect theme for Halloween parties, Fall festivals or birthday parties for the super candy corn fan in your life! Don't miss these easy candy corn party ideas including food and decorations.

Candy Corn Party Decorations

The easiest way to decorate for a candy corn party is with simple orange, yellow and white decorations. We had our party at a local trampoline fun center so my decorating was limited. They did provide orange tablecloths and paper products. I added this adorable candy corn paper lanterns to the center of each table. I think adding orange, yellow and white balloons and party streamers would have been fun too. A candy corn pinata would double as a decoration and party activity!

Again sticking with an orange, yellow, and white theme makes the candy corn party food ideas easy. I opted to make a candy corn veggie tray for our party. It worked well with the pizza the party place served.  You could make a similar fruit tray with oranges, pineapple, and jicama or cheese tray.

Not everyone loves candy corn, so we opted to just decorate Quinn’s chocolate cake with yellow and orange Reeses Pieces instead.  Candy corn themed cupcakes are an easy DIY option.

Candy Corn Goodie Bags

We filled the party goodie bags with the candy corn rubber ducks that inspired the party theme. We also added candy corn flashlights and little bags of candy corn candy. Everything was cute, in theme and perfect for our candy corn themed party.

Candy Corn Party Invites

Keeping it simple, you could just go with orange or yellow invitations from a discount store. I found adorable invitation ideas on Etsy that inspired me to make my own invites using Canva. If you are comfortable using a graphic design tool like Canva, then it’s fairly simple to make your own. If not, I’d recommend picking up candy corn party invitations from Etsy.

A candy corn party theme isn’t limited to just birthday parties for crazy candy corn fans, it’s also a fun theme for a Halloween party or Fall festival.

Oriental Trading provided a few of the products mentioned for review purposes. No compensation was received. As always, all opinions and experiences are my own.
