With little boys at home, it’s no surprise that Marvel superheroes are big around here. And one of our favorite ones is Captain America!
Captain America Lunch Box Ideas
After last week’s FROZEN school lunch, I thought I’d make one themed after one of our favorite superheroes.
Don’t worry, I kept the lunch easy by using ingredients we already had on hand. By just theming the food with coordinating colors, I was well on my way to a fun Captain America school lunch.
I layered tortilla, cheese and pepperoni, all cut out in star and shield (circle) shapes. Then I added grapes around the edges for a little blue color. Blueberries might work even better but my guys prefer grapes. And as pretty as I want it to be, I also want them to eat it!
Continuing with the colors scheme, I added a side of cut up strawberries in a blue silicone cupcake liner. With all the red, white and blue action, I had a great start on a Captain America inspired lunch!
To really step it up a notch, I added a fun Captain America lunch box note. I think adding a note really helps make any school lunch special. My boys love all the superheroes so I created a few more, 8 superhero lunch box notes in all. Six of them represent some of our favorite MARVEL superheroes like Captain America and Thor. I also included two blank notes so I could add down a custom superhero message on special days.

The finishing touch was a MARVEL Chewy Granola Bar that I found at Target! There are 6 different wrappers in all: Captain America, Hulk, Spider Man, Iron Man, Black Widow, and Thor. Super Hero Snack bars are 40% bigger and packaging includes 4 collector cards – Hulk, Iron Man, Hawk Eye and Spider Man
A superhero themed school lunch is easy to pull off. Start by theming the food by color to fit your character, then add one or two extra special superhero things like I did!

I adore these little lunch box notes!! If my hubby didn’t already work from home 90% of the time, I would totally pack him a lunch with one of these inside!
