DIY Captain America Mask
- Blue Felt
- White Felt
- Elastic Cord
- Glue Gun
- Scissors
- Mask Template
After finalizing my template I simply taped it (I love double-sided tape) to a piece of blue felt (29¢ at Michael’s). Then I cut out my mask. I managed to cut two masks out of one standard piece of felt. Then I cut the “A” out of white felt and hot glued it on to my mask.
I used the sharp end of a nail file to poke small holes into the felt for the elastic cord. I over-estimated the length of the elastic cord I needed for each mask and double knotted the cord on one of the mask. Then I tried the mask out on each kiddo to figure out the length of cord they needed. Once I had a good fit, I double knotted the elastic cord on the other side and cut off the excess cord
That’s it. I told you it’d be easy and it turned out pretty great!
With both a Captain America Mask and Captain America Shield, it might be time to make a Captain America Shirt. Then we’d have full DIY Captain America costumes!
