Last year our family costume theme was superheroes. My brother and sister-in-law went with a super cool DIY Wonder Woman costume and really goofy Thor costume.

They pieced their superhero costumes together with things they already owned, bought a few things and made a few things. And voila Wonder Woman and Thor showed up at the Halloween party!

How To Make a Wonder Woman Costume Skirt
Add white felt star stickers to a blue skirt. Try to borrow on if you don’t already own one. My sister-in-law found her skirt on clearance at Target for $5.
The stickers stayed on all night and then were easy to remove so the skirt could be used normally again. If you wanted a more permanant solution I would suggest cutting starts out of iron-on vinyl using a cutting machine.
How to Make a Wonder Woman Costume Crown
Use a crown template to cut out a crown from cardboard. I would suggest a cereal box because the cardboard is thinner and easier to cut. Cover it with gold duct tape and red felt star stickers leftover from the sticker pack you used for the skirt.
You can make arm bands using cardboard and gold duct tape as well.
DIY Thor Costume

DIY Thor Costume Pieces
- Long sleeve black shirt and black sweat pants
- Long Red Cape
- Gladiator Chest Plate- spray painted gray
- Blond Mullet Wig
- Thor Hammer
My brother already owned the black shirt and pants. He was able to borrow the cape from my other brother. And had the old gladiator armor from a past costume. All he had to do was spray paint it gray.
He did purchase the the amazingly awesome mullet wig and Thor hammer.
