I know everyone expects to indulge in sliders, wings, and cheesy dips while watching the big game but A few lighter appetizers for the big game are a good idea to balance out the rest of the decadent spread. I am always a fan of a fun themed fruit tray. A football fruit tray makes perfect sense and will
Making a football fruit tray isn’t too hard to do. It just takes a little prep work getting your fruit clean and diced before you start assembling it.
Football Fruit Tray Ingredients
Start by forming the strawberries into the shape of a football.
Add honeydew around the edge of the strawberries and fill the platter. My plate was oval, so sort of football shaped already. I think a large rectangular platter would be cool too, the green would give the impression of a football field.
Make the football laces using a few sticks of jicama.
You could substitute raspberries for the strawberries and green grapes for the honeydew.
Veggies more of your thing?
