What is a little boy’s dream museum?

80 acres with more than 300 airplanes and helicopters plus fire trucks and tanks!

And guess where it is located!!

Yup, in Tucson!

The Pima Air & Space Museum is one of the largest air and space museums in the world!

Even though I am a Tucson native, I can’t recall the last time I visited the Pima Air and Space Museum. I am just not big into aviation BUT I knew it would be the perfect place for a field trip with Papa Bob!

And I was right.

The boys had a blast!

There were plenty of hands on things to do including “flying” a plane and a control room with lots of buttons to push! (And the boys could have stayed in the control room for an hour if we had let them!)

From big planes and tiny little ones, there were plenty of different planes to check out.

The space gallery was also lots of fun!

And the fun continued outside with plenty more to see!

My boys were drawn to the helicopters and emergency/military vehicles.

And isn’t this art exhibit fun?

The Round Trip: Art From The Boneyard Project is on site through May 31st!

The museum is open year round (closed only for Christmas and Thanksgiving).  Admission rates vary by season and there is a discount for Pima county residents. Kids 6 and under are always free.  Check their website for more information on visiting and a possible survey/coupon!

I am pretty sure Quinn would tell you this is his favorite museum. I am sure we will be back soon!

I am curious. What’s your (or your kid’s) favorite museum?
