Looking for an easy dragon dessert idea to celebrate Pete's Dragon arriving in theaters? These no-bake Pete's Dragon Treats are super fun and yummy!

I am super excited about the reimagining of Pete’s Dragon, we are less than 2 weeks away from Elliot, Pete and their new friends arriving in theaters! I love the new Elliot and I have a couple of fun dragon projects up my sleeve. First up are no-bake Pete’s Dragon treats.

Pete's Dragon Treat Ingredients

Pete’s Dragon Treats

  • Rice cereal treats (cut into rectangles)
  • Green frosting
  • Green licorice (pull & peel style)
  • Gumball eyes
  • White gumballs
  • Black frosting gel
  • Green sour candy bites
  • Green chocolate candies

How to make an easy Pete's Dragon Treat

You can make your own cereal treats if you like. I went with the quick and easy route and bought a box of premade rice krispie treats. If you do make your own, make sure you cut them into rectangles. Start by frosting the top and sides with green frosting.

Cut varying sizes of green licorice and stick into frosting to create Elliot’s hair. Cut 2 equal triangles of green sour candy to create Elliot’s ears. Then add 2 green chocolate candies to create his nose and 2 gumball eyes.

VERY carefully cut a white gumball into quarters to create the 2 fangs/teeth. Draw a mouth line between the teeth using black frosting gel.

That’s it! Let the frosting harden/dry a little and the Pete’s Dragon treats will be much easier to move around.

Easy Pete's Dragon dessert idea
This could be a really fun dragon party activity, lay out a variety of colors and let the kids go. I bet you would end up with a rainbow of dragons!

See Pete’s Dragon in theaters on August 12th!!
