This Star Wars BB-8 Easter Basket is sponsored by Mars & Wrigley at Walmart.

How to Make a BB-8 Easter Basket

Of course, I made a BB-8 Easter Basket. He’s my favorite, new Star Wars character because he’s so adorable! I knew I could create an easy BB-8 inspired Easter Basket by focusing on his color palette (white, orange and gray).

The first thing I needed was a vessel to use for an Easter Basket. I found a large orange bucket that I knew would work great. Then I found an orange water bottle and gray food container. I used my favorite new toy (a Cricut machine) to cut fun BB-8 details out of vinyl to adhere to each piece.

Create your own BB-8 Easter Basket

DIY Star Wars BB-8 Easter Basket Materials

  • Bucket (Orange, White or Gray)
  • Sticky Vinyl (Orange, White, Black, and Gray)
  • BB-8 Design Templates
  • Scissors or Cutting Machine

You can make your own BB-8 Easter Basket too. Start by downloading the BB-8 design templates: BB-8 Side Template | BB-8 Head Template. Use those templates to create a file for your own cutting machine or print the templates out and trace them onto the vinyl. Once you have the BB-8 design details cut out of the vinyl, carefully adhere them to the bucket. Repeat the process for anything else you are customizing for the basket like a BB-8 water bottle and BB-8 candy container.

I found everything I needed for the BB-8 Easter Basket at Target including some awesome candy deals.

DIY BB-8 Easter Basket DetailsI really loved how my BB-8 candy bowl turned out with the gray lid and BB-8 head details. I made it my mission to find orange and white candy to add to it. The white M&M’s from the Easter M&M’s White Strawberry Shortcake candies were perfect! I also sorted out orange jellybeans from the Starburst Sweet & Sour Jellybeans and regular Starburst Jellybeans. My final addition to the BB-8 candy bowl was Easter DOVE Peanut Butter Eggs, wrapped in orange foil! Perfect, right?!?

BB-8 Easter Basket Contents

I needed more than just a water bottle and candy to fill up my BB-8 Easter basket, though. Luckily I found a few more perfect items including a fun BB-8 t-shirt. We love Disney Infinity so adding BB-8’s new friends from Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Rey, and Finn also made perfect sense! I needed a little bunny action in the Easter basket so my last additions were a Judy Hopps Disney Infinity figure and a DOVE Milk Chocolate Bunny.
