How often does your family eat Chicken? We usually eat it a few times a week, one of our favorite ways is picking up a rotisserie chicken. I bet this Instant Pot whole chicken recipe will replace that though!

This Instant Pot whole chicken recipe includes your veggies, making it a complete meal and perfect to make on a busy day.

Easy Instant Pot Chicken Recipe

Now you can skip a trip to Costco and make it ALMOST as easily yourself in your Instant Pot. The best part of making it yourself is you can customize your dinner by the type of chicken you buy (organic, etc) and also the size of the bird and seasonings you use!

Plus this Instant Pot whole chicken recipe comes with veggies. A complete meal which makes it better than just picking up a rotisserie chicken on the way home.

I love how little prep is involved in this recipe, at least on the Instant Pot side. Once your veggies are cut and chicken is seasoned, you just dump everything in and turn on the Instant Pot.

Instant Pot Whole Chicken Directions:

To prep the whole chicken, rub the outside of the chicken with olive oil, and then season with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper, to taste.
Then place the carrots, onions, garlic, potatoes, and water at the bottom of the instant pot. Set your whole chicken on top and pour the wine of over it.
Secure the lid and make sure the steam release valve is closed. Select the manual setting and set it to high. Increase the time to 25 minutes.

Crispy Instant Pot Chicken

Once it’s done, allow the chicken to rest with a 10-minute natural steam release, then finishing it off with a quick steam release. If you like crispy skin on your chicken, set the oven to broil and place the chicken under the broiler for 2 minutes.
This Instant Pot whole chicken recipe includes your veggies, making it a complete meal and perfect to make on a busy day.
