It’s been a few months since my last cupcake creation and I’ve been itching to share another fun design. Today I’m sharing a cupcake perfect for every Inside Out fan. Don’t worry these Bing Bong cupcakes are super easy to make!

Bing Bong Cupcake Recipe
My Bing Bong cupcakes are inspired by his bing body, brown jacket and purple tail. Then decorated with candy to mimic is fun flower pin.
- Pink Velvet Cake Mix (or white cake mix with pink food dye)
- Chocolate Frosting (I used canned stuff)
- Colored Chocolate Candies: Dark green, light green, yellow, pink, red, light blue, and orange
- Purple Ombre Cupcake Liners (affiliate link)
I actually added a few drops of red food dye to my pink cake mix to make it a darker pink similar to Bing Bong in the movie. This is totally optional though.
I loved the purple ombre cupcake liners I found. I thought they mimicked the light and dark purple in his raccoon tail.
For some reason I couldn’t find purple raccoon tail cupcake liners anywhere. Crazy, right?!? 😉 I think plain purple liners would also work.
For a smooth chocolate icing look, I warmed up a bowl of chocolate frosting in the microwave (less than 20 seconds). I dipped the cupcakes at first but actually found that just using a spatula to spread the frosting was easier. If your frosting is too warm and runny, it will run down the sides of the cupcake. Don’t ask how I know. 😉
After about 30 seconds or so (letting the frosting firm up a bit), add your chocolate candies in the shape of Bing Bong’s flower lapel pin. Then place the cupcakes in the fridge to let the frosting finish setting. Done!
