Finding the perfect gift for everyone can be difficult, sometimes it’s easier to just make something special instead. I’ve partnered with Alamo today to share some great DIY travel gift ideas? These travel gift ideas are also DIY, making them the perfect way to remember a special vacation without breaking the bank!
I’ve rounded a few DIY travel gift ideas from my site and from Alamo’s Scenic Route website below. There’s a wide variety of ideas and all are pretty simple and inexpensive to make!
DIY TRAVEL GIFT IDEAS
My husband just made me a Memory Board Display to hang above my desk at home. I can display lots of pictures and mementos from past trips on it. If you have spare wood and paint in the garage, this project can be almost free to make!
I enjoy making the grandparents a new photo canvas of my boys every year or so. I just pick my favorite image of them and with a few supplies, and I have a custom gift I know they will love.
This idea from Alamo is sweet. Everyone loves buying a fun t-shirt while on vacation, but let’s be honest, how many random t-shirts can you own? And then there are the t-shirts that don’t wash well and end up shrinking. A souvenir t-shirt tote bag is the perfect way to reuse your favorite vacation t-shirts.
Custom magnets are a fun way to reuse ticket stubs, maps, photos and other paper mementos from a trip. You can also make quite a few from one souvenir. They are perfect if you just went on an extended family vacation with lots of relatives and want to give everyone a little gift to remember the trip.
My kids would love a postcard photo album. We actually do something similar for their Disney autograph books, but I love this idea for remembering special places and events from a trip!
For little kids, you can make them a set of travel craft sticks to take on their next vacation. You can even customize them using their favorite colors.
