Fortnite Party Charcuterie Board

I love making fun party food especially when it’s themed. I recently saw this super cute Taylor Swift inspired cookie and candy charcuterie board in the new Mood 13 Magazine. It inspired me to create a Fortnite Party Charcuterie Board for my boys. 

What is Mood 13 Magazine? It’s a new digital magazine inspired by Taylor Swift and features crafts, recipes, projects and parties! How fun is that!? I am not quite a Swiftie but she does create some great songs. I did enjoy checking out all of the cool projects in the magazine and it inspired me to create my own cookie and candy charcuterie board!

Fortnite Dessert Charcuterie Board

Honestly, I’d never considered a dessert charcuterie board before. Typically charcuterie boards are filled with a variety of meat and cheese. But I really like the idea of dessert  charcuterie board because it’s easy to theme cookies, candies and other desserts by color. 

Fortnite Chocolate Candy Covered Popcorn

I started with a chocolate candy covered popcorn, sticking with my Fortnite theme colors (turquoise, green and blue). Start with your favorite popcorn, for convenience I just popped a bag of microwave popcorn. I melted a cup of candy melts in a glass container and added popcorn to it. I used fork to gently mix the popcorn around, so it was throughly coated in the melted candy. Spread the coated popcorn on parchment paper to allow it to harden and cool. Then repeat with each color. After the popcorn is cooled, mix it together along with fun candy and you are done.

Fortnite Party Charcuterie Board

I personally love Lofthouse style cookies, those super soft frosted sugar cookies. They typically come in a variety of colors, and I really wanted to add some to my dessert board. But finding the right color can take some hunting and I’m avoiding excessive store trips right now. Since I didn’t plan on going on a frosted cookie treasure hunt, I opted to decorate rice Krispies treats instead.

You could also decorate your own sugar cookies. We have a gluten intolerance in our house, and I personally love decorated rice Krispies treats, so the Fortnite inspired Rice Krispies Treats made more sense for us. I didn’t even make the Rice Krispies treats, I wanted to keep the Fortnite Dessert board easy peasy! I used the candy melts as frosting to keep it simple, although substituting homemade buttercream frosting would be amazing too. Then topped them with a variety of cool sprinkles that fit my Fortnite color theme.

Elliot suggested I added a “F” for Fortnite to my Fortnite Dessert Board. Using a couple additional rice Krispies treats, I formed an “F” and frosted it with white candy melts. If you had a really big Fortnite Charcuterie Board you could spell out the whole word in treats.

Fortnite Party Ideas

The Fortnite decorated Rice Krispies Treats and popcorn were the main ingredients to my board. Then I added a variety of different candies into several silicone cupcake liners. The fun part here is that you can add any candy you want, any candy that you think fits your theme. I think this Fortnite Party Charcuterie Board makes an excellent centerpiece for a Fortnite party.
