Smores made using graham crackers, milk chocolate, white chocolate and Lucky Charms marshmallows

Have you seen the new extra large Lucky Charms Marshmallows available in stores now? They are perfect for making Lucky Charms S’mores.

If you want to make St. Patrick’s Day S’mores, you could just use green marshmallows but I’d recommend picking up a bag of the new Kraft Lucky Charms Marshmallows instead.

Lucky Charms Marshmallows

The new Kraft Lucky Charms Marshmallows are extra large and puffy just like traditional marshmallows. I love the tiny little crunchy Lucky Charms marshmallows that come in the cereal but those marshmallows are not great for making s’mores.

The new Lucky Charms marshmallow are puffy and much larger than regular Lucky Charms marshmallows from the cereal box.

Not only can you buy a bag of traditional Lucky Charms marshmallows but now you can buy a bag of extra large (and soft) Lucky Charms marshmallows shaped like clovers, stars, hearts and moons.

St. Patrick’s Day S’mores Ingredients

Traditional s’mores are made with graham crackers, a square (or two) of chocolate and a large puffy marshmallow. They are also typically made over a campfire by roasting the marshmallow before squishing it between 2 graham crackers and chocolate.

Make special s’mores for St. Patricks with Lucky Charms marshmallows and white, milk or dark chocolate.

The fun thing about s’mores though is that you can customize it quite easily. Typically the plain milk chocolate is substitute with something like white chocolate, peanut butter cups or some other chocolate style candy. In this case we are substitute the typical white marshmallows with fun Lucky Charms marshmallows.

Lucky Charms S’mores

The new Lucky Charms Marshmallows are slightly smaller than the traditional marshmallows you use when making s’mores. So I opted to add 4 marshmallows when making my own s’mores.

When making s’mores at home in my kitchen I just add the marshmallows and a piece of chocolate on top of 1 graham cracker square. Then I microwave it for 20 seconds which is enough time to start melting the chocolate and marshmallow. Add a graham cracker square on top when you take it out of the microwave. Done.

You could also use Lucky Charms marshmallows in a batch of solar oven s’mores too. I haven’t tried roasting these marshmallows over a fire yet but if I do I will update this post with a picture of that version.

Lucky Charms Treats

There are lots of yummy Lucky Charms treats ideas to choose from. A few of my favorites are the following:

  • Lucky Charms cupcakes with a surprise hidden in the center.
  • Lucky Charms hot cocoa bombs using both types of marshmallows.
  • Easy Lucky Charms cookies made with cake mix.
  • Even more Lucky Charms recipe ideas.
