I usually prefer non-candy valentines for school, especially for little kids. My kids are getting older though 🙁 and a little extra sugar on Valentine’s Day will be ok. Don’t worry, I did opt for adorably small boxes of Nerds candies to attach to this year’s DIY valentine’s day cards.

You know I love all my Star Wars valentines but there is something especially fun about these simple Nerdy Valentines. The Nerds candy I bought came with premade valentines but the cards were pretty childlike and not cool enough for 3rd and 5th graders. 😉

So we came up with a simple design together that I created in Canva. I did keep the colors to a minimum because I know color ink can get expensive for some people.

Honestly, I really liked it just as a black and white card too. So you can still make these even if you don’t have access to a color printer. I fit 6 copies of the nerd valentines on to one sheet, hopefully, you only need to bring 4 or 5 copies for your child’s class.

Once you print the nerdy valentines you just need to add names to each one. I think they are cute even without the mini boxes of Nerds candy too. Of course, my boys opted to add candy to the back of each valentine though. Who would have guessed they’d want to do that?!? 😉

Nerd Glasses Valentines Day Cards
I think they turned out super cute! Alternatively, I think a pair of nerd glasses would also make a fun addition. Most kids would get a kick out of wearing them and I know parents would appreciate a fun non-candy option.
