With the new year, comes fun new events, activities and attractions at LEGOLAND! My boys are always up for a trip to LEGOLAND, check out what we will find new at LEGOLAND in 2021!
New at LEGOLAND in 2021
Now that California is opening up to out of state visitors this week, it’s the perfect time to plan a quick road trip over to visit LEGOLAND. There are several new attractions open this summer including The LEGO Movie World land, Rebuild the World attraction, LEGO MYTHICA 4D movie and lots of special events.
The LEGO Movie World
LEGOLAND California is celebrating the opening of a new land! The LEGO MOVIE WORLD is based on the characters and adventures from The LEGO Movie and The LEGO Movie 2. Explore the streets of Bricksburg, meet Emmet and friends in his Super Suite Apartment and ride a triple decker couch on the new ride, Emmet’s Flying Adventure. Don’t miss Unikitty’s Disco Drop and Benny’s Playship.
Rebuild the World at PLANET LEGOLAND
Rebuild the World is the new building attraction in the Imagination Zone. Check out the 6-foot wide LEGO globe built using more than 200,000 bricks and then come up with your own unique build. There are four different themed stations to build at and everyone (kids and adults) are welcome to build, unbuild and rebuild to their hearts content.
LEGO MYTHICA – 4D Movie
Opening June 24th is the all new LEGO 4D movie, LEGO MYTHICA – JOURNEY TO MYTHICA with an augmented reality (AR) experience. Mythica is a parallel universe full of adventures and mysterious creatures. Watching 4D movies at the LEGO Showplace Theater is one of the best ways to take a break from crowds or crummy weather.

Red, White and Boom at LEGOLAND California – July 4th
The summer heats up at LEGOLAND® California Resort with a star-spangled Fourth of July celebration: Red, White and Boom! Throughout the day, kids of all ages can participate in all-American family picnic games and building activities. The evening fireworks show combines patriotic music with dazzling pyrotechnics. Red White and Boom! is included in the cost of regular Park admission.
LEGO NINJAGO Days 10th Anniversary – August 13th – September 10th
LEGOLAND® California Resort invites families to release their inner ninja in celebration of LEGO® NINJAGO® World! Guests can join their favorite NINJAGO heroes in the 4D Movie, NINJAGO® Master of the 4th Dimension. By helping Master Wu harness the power of the elements, families become part of the 4D action! Guests can also unleash their powers on NINJAGO® The Ride, strike a pose with their favorite LEGO NINJAGO characters and participate in ninja-themed activities
NEW LEGO VIDIYO MUSIC FEST – September 17th-19the
An all-new, family-friendly music festival is coming to LEGOLAND® California Resort, September 17-19. DJ L.L.A.M.A – the musical superstar behind LEGO® VIDIYO™ – will be making a special appearance at LEGOLAND® California Resort for one weekend only as part of his newly announced world tour. This vibrant, interactive music festival will feature “dance-off” parties, interactive games, and pop-up performances. Colorful photo opportunities include larger-than-life scenes, and guests are encouraged to dress up as their favorite music artist to win prizes.
Brick-Or-Treat Party Nights Halloween Celebration – Saturdays in October
This is a special after hours event that requires separate admission. Don’t miss the sweet LEGOLAND Brick or Treat shirt we made when we attended.
LEGOLAND® California Resort hosts San Diego’s biggest kids’ Halloween celebration, Brick-or-Treat! Every Saturday night (Oct. 2,9,16,23 & 30) guests can enjoy not-so-spooky entertainment, dance parties, live music, costume entertainers, and safe trick-or-treating
Holidays at LEGOLAND® California Resort – November 20, 2021 – January 2, 2022
Live entertainment, twinkling lights and festive cheer await guests during the Holidays at LEGOLAND® California Resort! Beginning Nov. 20, kids and families can enjoy nightly tree lightings of the Park’s LEGO® Christmas tree decked with spectacular lights and LEGO ornaments. The holiday fun concludes with the annual Kids’ New Year’s Eve Party on December 31. All activities located inside the Park are included with regular Park admission.
Ring in the New Year with LEGOLAND® California Resort’s Kids’ New Year’s Eve Celebration – December 31
Don’t let bedtime spoil your fun! New Year’s Eve festivities kick-off early at LEGOLAND® California Resort with a party that lets kids ring in 2022 without missing their bedtime! Kids’ New Year’s Eve features live music, entertainment and a special New Year’s countdown at 6 p.m. ! All activities are included with regular Park.
