Finding a fun new game to play at home with the whole family can be a challenge. Your best best is always something simple and silly that keeps everyone engaged and excited. Last year Hasbro’s Pie Face was all the rage and this year, they are kicking the fun up a notch with Pie Face Showdown. They sent one to us to test out and we had fun playing with it this weekend. 1. Fun for everyone
Most important for family game night is that this game is fun for everyone, young and old alike. Some games are too easy or too complicated to engage the whole family. With Pie Face Showdown, each player hits their button as fast as possible in an attempt to pie their opponent. I love that you can give younger players an advantage by starting the hand off center. Everyone watching will find themselves rooting for someone and then laughing when it’s over.
2. Easy to put together
There are only a few parts to set up which means you can start playing fairly quickly. I also love that there are no decals to apply or small parts to lose. The whipped cream is not included so that’s the only extra thing you need to buy. Technically you can play without the whipped cream, the game does include a small sponge you can wet to use instead. I highly recommend buying whipped cream for maximum fun!
3. No batteries
Oh and no batteries. There’s certainly a time a place for electronic games but not having to constantly replace batteries makes this game even more awesome.
4. Losing isn’t so bad
Most people love to win a game, it’s our competitive nature. The great thing about Pie Face Showdown is that it rewards the loser with yummy whipped cream. Who doesn’t love a sweet surprise?
5. Fun way to settle disputes
It’s a fun way to settle disputes at home. Who should take out the trash? Who gets to pick which movie to rent? Let Pie Face Showdown decide with a little competitive fun!
