Thank you Pottery Cool for sponsoring this post.

My guys love making creative projects at home. Last year we went to a local pottery place, they had a blast painting their own mugs. They super stoked to see the latest toy we had to test out at home. You don’t just paint the pottery but design and mold it too!

Even though the product seems marketed towards girls (typical girl colored projects and only girls on the product packaging), my boys had no problem creating their own projects with Pottery Cool. I was happy to see a wide variety of paint colors included as well. This is real pottery that your kids can actually do themselves. It’s easy to use and easy to clean up with just water and paper towels.plastic-texture-pack-jabba-hut

They loved jumping right in and getting a little dirty molding and shaping the clay into a unique piece of pottery. Simply place a clay disk on the turntable, gently spray it with water and watch it spin and take shape in your hands. And once it’s air-dried, the creativity really begins!

Pottery Cool is cool for boys too! We’ve been making pottery for the past few days. Check out the Jabba/Slimer character Quinn created. #potterycool is from @spinmaster #ad

The projects included in the instructions looked fun and easy enough but my guys wanted to just do their own thing. Quinn decided to go with a Jabba the Hutt but when he painted it a bright green, it looked more like a Slimer/Jabba hybrid to me. Either way, he thinks it’s super cool and is happy with the way it turned out.

Pottery Cool includes the pottery wheel, a spray bottle, tool holder with a variety of tools and 10 colors of paint.

I bet Pottery Cool will be a hot toy this holiday season for both boys and girls. You can purchase it at Walmart and let your little artist explore their creative side!
