With Star Wars fans expecting a new movie or Disney+ show every holiday season, it’s easy to see why Star Wars Christmas decorations and other holiday Star Wars ideas are so popular now.

Since my mind has been extremely Star Wars focused lately and it’s spilling over into my Christmas projects, I thought it’d be fun to round up lots of fun Star Wars Christmas ideas.
Check out this fun list of Star Wars Christmas ornaments, recipes, decorations, crafts and gift ideas.
DIY Star Wars Christmas Ideas
After you go see the new Star Wars movie at least 5 times, head back here and pick a fun Star Wars craft, DIY or recipe to make with the kiddos over winter break. Be sure to let me know how it turns out.
Star Wars Holiday Recipes
Let’s make some fun Christmas treats, starting with Star Wars gingerbread cookies, this recipe includes Santa Star Wars characters and this one looks more like traditional gingerbread men, Star Wars style. I think these Chewbacca gingerbread cookies are my favorite version though.

Looking for more of a challenge? Check out this gingerbread Star Destroyer. Honestly, it looks way more complicated than my faux gingerbread chess board though, I’d stick to the chess board and make the chess pieces Star Wars themed instead if you are looking for a challenge!
If you aren’t a fan of gingerbread, check out these adorable Santa Chewbacca cookies, or Santa Stormtrooper cookies. Pair any variety of Star Wars cookies with Star Wars Bantha Cocoa. A couple of non cookie options include Rebel Alliance pumpkin pie in a jar and pretzel lightsabers.
Star Wars Christmas Decorations
Whether you want to decorate an entire Star Wars themed Christmas tree or just a little geeky fun to your holidays, the first Star Wars Christmas DIY you should make are these lightsaber Christmas lights.
We’ve also made a green and blue light sabers version to decorate in my son’s room and pink and purple versions for a geeky and girly baby shower. You can also just order a few Star Wars Christmas lights online here and here.

After the Force Awakens, Bb-8 was everyone’s new favorite Star Wars character, so I couldn’t resist making a fun BB-8 Christmas Wreath.
I found a set of Star Wars stockings at Target several years ago that we love. It was the perfect time to update the older/mismatched stockings we had been using.
Star Wars Christmas Tree
Then the porgs showed up in The Last Jedi and they became the new favorite sidekick, along with some super cute DIY ornament ideas including a flat porg ornament and a porg globe ornament.
Check out our Star Wars tree topper and more tree decoration ideas on our Star Wars villain tree. I’m not sure if having Darth Vader should top your tree for Christmas makes sense unless you are a dark side fan. You can also find Star wars tree toppers you can buy like the Death Star, Darth Vader and Yoda.
Don’t forget to make lots of Star Wars snowflakes using a Cricut cutting machine. There are lots of characters represented in the snowflake designs including Luke Skywalker, Porg, K-2S0, Saw Gerrera, Kylo Ren, BB-8, Boba Fett, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Captain Cassian Andor and Ahsoka Tano.
I also have my own Baby Yoda snowflakes you can make including one you can cut by hand.
Star Wars Christmas Ornaments
Speaking of ornaments, there are a ton of Star Wars Ornaments including cinnamon dough ornaments, glitter ornaments, and this cute glowing snow globe ornament. Plus these droid ornaments are fun, I think I just need to come up with a BB-8 option myself.

A couple additional Star Wars holiday decoration ideas include these lawn ornaments and paper snowflakes! Both could be fun weekend projects, but the lawn ornaments require more skill, supplies and time. 😉
And let’s not forget about all the awesome Star Wars Hallmark Ornaments out there. We have quite a few from the past 30 years that we’ve collected but Hallmark continues to make new Christmas Tree ornaments each year. You can also check ebay, etsy and thrift stores and find cool vintage millennium falcon, or Han Solo ornaments.
Star Wars Gifts You Can Make

Honestly some of the recipe and decoration items above would make fun Star Wars Christmas gifts but I have a few other ideas to share as well. Know someone inspired by the women of Star Wars?
How about making them a Kyber crystal necklace or Princess Leia headband. Other gift ideas include Star Wars quote shirts, wood burned coasters, and Star Wars Christmas sweaters.

I bought this Kyber crystal necklace for my Jyn Erso Costume and its awesome. It’s fun to wear year-round if Jyn is one of your favorite characters.
