It’s a little crazy to think that just last week I walked down the red carpet for the Thor Ragnarok movie premiere. I tried to walk slowly, taking in the sights. It’s not every day I get to walk down a red carpet!
Part of the fun is dressing up and taking pictures with our ‘friends from work’. I love this selfie with Becca even more because our friend Allison photobombed us! It doesn’t get any better than a photobombed selfie on the red carpet! Unless of course, it had been Loki, Thor or Hulk, they might beat out at Allison as a better photobomb. ๐
It’s not all about us in our pretty dresses though. It’s also about fun celebrity photos as well. I really love Idris Elba’s character Heimdall, so I was hoping to interview him during the press junket or see him at the premiere but it didn’t happen. :-/
I did see Chris Hemsworth giving an interview from a distance and was fairly close to Tom Hiddleston when he stopped to hug someone. Unfortunately, that someone wasn’t me. ๐
I snagged this fun picture of Tom and then found the official version of the photo (below). Think of mine as the behind the scene version of it. ๐ It turns out he was stopping to hug Executive producer Victoria Alonso.
Red carpet premieres always seem to have extra fun elements like extravagant displays or decor. The Thor Ragnarok premier was no exception. At the end of the red carpet, they had gladiator spectators from the planet Sakaar waiting to greet guests.
Once we finished walking down the red carpet, we were ushered into the El Captain Theater. Before we could enter, our phones were disabled. So no pictures from me after this point.
One of Chris Hemsworth’s costumes was on display in the theater which was pretty cool to see. Don’t ask how a fellow blogger managed to get a picture of it, just be thankful I can share it with you. ๐
For the Thor Ragnarok premiere, our entire group was seated in the front row. Honestly, the front row of a theater is usually my last choice but this experience was definitely an exception to my rule.
We had an up-close view of the actors when they were introduced on stage before the movie premiered. Afterward, they walked down the stairs and half of them (as in Chris, Mark & Tom) walked directly in front of us as they went to sit in their own seats. It’s also fun to see me in an official Disney photo. Check me out in the front row!! My friend Patty is in the purple dress and I am seated just to the left of her. I am almost famous now. ๐
This photo is awesome, I love Jeff Goldblum and Mark Ruffalo. It’s also a funny photo because right after this was taken Mark made a blunder with his phone.
This picture was taken as the stars were introduced on the El Capitan stage *just* before the movie started. Mark was live-streaming his red carpet experience for Marvel fans (super cool, right?). Immediately afterward they were ushered to their seats and the movie started.
Apparently, Mark just put his phone into his pocket, forgetting to turn it off. So anyone watching his live stream got a sneak “peek” or rather “listen” to some of the audio from the movie. Oops!
After the movie was over, everyone poured out of the El Capitan Theater. We basically followed Liam and Miley all the way out to the street before they headed to the very exclusive afterparty. So exclusive that we weren’t invited unlike the Jungle Book and Cars 3 red carpet premiere.
While waiting to join up with our group, we also had Chris Hemsworth walk *right* behind us. I didn’t have the heart to attempt a stalker photo but I promise it happened.
Our night ended with a group photo on the Oscars stairs. A sort of Disney blogger tradition. It was an amazing event, and my 3rd red carpet experience to date. I wonder what movie will be number 4!?!
How was the movie? It was super fun and I can’t wait to watch it again in theaters (starting November 2nd). Check back this Thursday for my Thor Ragnarok movie review.

Pretty sure one of my favorite experiences from this entire thing was getting ready for the red carpet with you and Becca. Seriously so fun!
