Peter B. Parker is just about the easiest and comfiest Spider-Verse costume you came make. Perfect for tall guys who don’t want to do a lot of work, like my teenager. A Peter B Parker costume would have worked well for my husband too, who begrudgingly humors me and wears costumes at Halloween.
Last Halloween, my youngest son insisted on a Spider-Verse costume theme for our family halloween party. It totally made sense to me since the newest Spider-Verse movie was coming out this summer, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.
Have you watched Across the Spider-Verse yet? My boys LOVED it. I bet there will be lots of people looking for various Spider-Verse costumes this Halloween.
UPDATE: We have since updated this post to include Peter B. Parker’s costume from Across the Spider-Verse, scroll on down and see how we created this fun new Peter Parker cosplay idea.
Peter B Parker Across the Spider-Verse Costume
Peter B. Parker Costume Basics
Peter B. Parker is likely wearing a full spider-man suit underneath his everyday clothes but you can getaway with just wearing a Spider-Man shirt to make it more comfortable.
Those all in one Halloween suits tend to be hot and cumbersome to take off when you need to use the restroom. Of course if you already own the Spidey suit, then just use that and avoid buying a shirt, mask and gloves.
Add in grey sweatpants and a long green jacket. Again no need for the pull spidey man suit pants because you are wearing sweatpants. His shoes are the only tricky part, you need one brown boot and one blue converse. The final touch is a spiderman mask and gloves.

Easy Peter B. Parker Costume
This costume turned out great and we lucked out with only having to buy a few things. One thing we did buy was a Spider-Man shirt graphic t-shirt but that is something my son will wear again. We also bought a spider-man mask, we didn’t have one already in our costume stash.
He wore sweatpants he already owned and borrowed my husbands brown work boots and green jacket. You might have luck finding the jacket at an Army surplus store. Somehow my husband’s jacket was already a really close match so we got lucky with that costume piece too.
Unfortunately I had no luck procuring the blue converse. I wasn’t willing to buy a new pair because my son wouldn’t wear them again. I did shop at thrift stores hoping to catch a pair but since my son wears a size 12, it wasn’t a likely thing to find.
How To Make a Blue Converse Shoe
My son did have a pair of Vans already on hand which have a similar low profile. I used blue and white duct tape to give the illusion of blue converse.

Peter B. Parker Across The Spider-Verse Costume
Fast forward to the next awesome Spider-Verse movie, Across the Spider-Verse and Peter B. Parker gets back together with M.J. and has a baby. His costume is significantly different because he is wearing a pink bathrobe, with blue slippers and baby wearing his child, May “Mayday” Parker.
Easy Peter Parker – Across The Spider-Verse Costume
I did splurge on a Spider-Man suit, this version is clearly wearing a Spidey suit under his robe. I found a pink robe at a local thrift store. We borrowed a front baby carrier, and used a stuffed animal instead of a doll for baby May.
- Spider-Man Suit
- Pink Robe
- Blue Slippers
- Tall White Socks
- Front Baby Carrier
- Doll (if you are a dad, use your own baby)
- Portal Watch
Make Spider-Verse Portal Watch
The one thing you will likely need o make is the Spider-Verse portal watch. I have seen a few versions on etsy but we made a super low key version that did the job using wide ribbon, velcro and duct tape.
If you want to make a more elaborate version, check out this Spider-Verse travel watch tutorial that creates a cardboard version. I used it as a guide to make my simpler version.
Make Peter Parker Blue Slippers
I found a few pairs of blue slippers that would work great but honestly I just didn’t want to spend the money when we didn’t need them. Plus both of my sons have huge feet, so a cheaper women’s pair at a discount store wouldn’t fit them anyway. But you can check out some of the options here and here if you’d rather splurge.
I opted to cover a pair of my son’s slide shoes with blue duct tape and blue fabric. I used shoes he already owned and modified them with craft supplies I had on hand for a free solution that worked well. Pair the slippers with tall white socks and you are done.
Who is Peter B. Parker
Peter Benjamin Parker, aka Peter B. Parker is a fictional character who appears in the animated film “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse,” released in 2018. He is an alternate version of Peter Parker, also known as Spider-Man.
As with most spider-man characters he was bit by a radioactive spider which caused him to gain spider like powers and abilities. In the film, Peter B. Parker hails from a parallel universe and serves as a mentor figure to Miles Morales, the main protagonist.
Peter B. Parker is portrayed as an older, more jaded version of Spider-Man. He has experienced personal hardships, including a failed marriage to Mary Jane Watson, and has lost his sense of purpose. Despite his weariness, Peter B. Parker joins forces with Miles Morales and other versions of Spider-Man from different dimensions to stop the Kingpin and save the multiverse.
His character is voiced by actor Jake Johnson in the film and has become a fan-favorite due to his humor, relatability, and complex portrayal of a more mature Spider-Man.
