Need a funny, last-minute Halloween costume? This easy DIY 6-7 costume is perfect for two people who want to dress up as the viral six-seven meme without spending much money.
We made our own 6-7 Halloween costumes using two inexpensive Mylar number balloons from the dollar store. It was ridiculously easy, and the result was a silly duo costume inspired by the saying kids couldn’t stop repeating!
DIY Six Seven Costume With Number Balloons
You don’t need any sewing skills or fancy supplies to make this costume. Just grab two number balloons and you’re practically done!
Supplies
- One 12-inch Mylar number 6 balloon
- One 12-inch Mylar number 7 balloon
- Two shirts
- Tape
How to Make a 6-7 Costume
- Find inexpensive Mylar number balloons at the dollar store. We used balloons about 12 inches tall.
- Have one person wear the number 6 and the other wear the number 7.
- Tape the balloons to the front of your shirts. (We used duct tape!)
- Stand together, say “six seven,” and do the signature hand gesture!
That’s it! No complicated crafting or expensive costume supplies required.

If you can’t find number balloons, there are several other ways to turn the six-seven meme into a Halloween costume. Or just buy a shirt if you have the time.
- Matching six and seven shirts: Use fabric paint, iron-on numbers, adhesive felt or my favorite craft item, DUCT TAPE, to put a large number on each shirt.
- Paper number costume: Cut oversized numbers from cardstock and attach them to your clothes.
- Cardboard six-seven costume: Make giant numbers from cardboard or on poster board and attach straps so you can wear them.
- Basketball-inspired costume: Wear a basketball jersey and carry a 6-7 sign as a nod to the meme’s basketball connection. Or one person wears a #6 jersey and another a #7 jersey.
Whether you’re dressing up with a friend, sibling, or parent, a six-seven costume is an easy way to turn a ridiculous internet meme into a funny Halloween outfit.
