We were Tomatohead crazy last year, between Elliot’s Tomatohead costume and a Tomatohead ornament. I even made a Tomatohead pumpkin last minute right before Halloween. It’s a pretty simple design so if you have Fortnite crazy kids like, you should make this no-carve Fortnite pumpkin.

DIY Tomatohead Pumpkin

You can start with either a live pumpkin or a craft one. I usually favor craft pumpkins so we can save our geeky pumpkins for the next year. However this time, I opted for an extra large real pumpkin. Tomatohead has a very large head in Fortnite.

Start by painting your pumpkin red, it might take a few coats to get a nice solid red color. Then paint the pumpkin stem green.

How to make a Tomatohead Pumpkin Face

Cutting the Tomatohead face from adhesive vinyl is the easiest way. You could also paint the Tomatohead face if you want but I opted to use the Tomato Head template from my Tomatohead costume. Just scale it down to make it fit the size of the pumpkin, just like I did for our Fortnite Christmas ornament.

The last step is adding green felt leaves to the top of the Tomatohead pumpkin with a hot glue gun. Green construction paper would also work well. I used a leaf template I found online but you could totally just freehand draw them as well. That’s it! Now wait for the oohs and ahhhs from your kiddos. 😉
