Another day and another crazy Disney red carpet adventure. Last week, I was walking the Frozen 2 red carpet disneybounding in my Anna Coronation Dress. My Frozen Anna disneybound was a last minute decision but I think it turned out pretty cute.

Pin this Anna Frozen Green Dress disneybound idea

I’ve been lucky enough to walk the red carpet for a few different movie premieres, including the Jungle Book, Thor Ragnarok, Mary Poppins Returns, Cars 2, and Christopher Robin.

Deciding what to wear on the red carpet is always a big issue for me because I am a jeans and t-shirt girl. I rarely wear dresses and never wear heels, I just want to be comfortable.

I was going to just wear one of my dresses from a past red carpet event rather than buy a new one. But I relented and ended up buying a green dress that I might be able to wear again.

I am a green girl generally, so the color choice was no surprise. As I debated accessories, I realized that my Anna Frozen green dress could work well as Anna Coronation Disneybound with a few simple accessories. Now all of a sudden my red carpet outfit sounded fun. 🙂

My dress was long enough that the shoes didn’t matter. If your dress is shorter, I’d go with some cute black strappy sandals, I avoid heels like the plague. 🙂

Now remember a Disneybound is a look inspired by a certain character, it’s not a costume or exact replica, but if you are looking for that sort of Anna dress, check out these amazing handmade options.

Disneybounding Anna Coronation Accessories

I made my own Anna Coronation necklace with a black ribbon and part of an earring. I simply sewed the gold ‘pendant’ onto the ribbon and then tied a bow around my neck.

Not a bad DIY for $2 and it definitely had the Princess Anna Coronation necklace feel. If you aren’t a DIYer, check out these inexpensive options you can buy, here, here and here.

Anna’s Coronation dress has a black top, so I added a simple black shrug to help with that look and it also kept me warm at the Frozen 2 premiere! I am always worried about being cold.

I found my black and gold clutch at a thrift store a few days before my trip, it must have been fate. 😉 If you don’t already own one, you can order this one and it’s way cuter.

Unfortunately I cut my hair a few weeks ago, so I couldn’t do a total Princess Anna Coronation hairstyle. But I wanted the same sort of vibe, so I did the best I could with a few braids at my temple and clipped up the rest in the back. It was a fairly easy hairstyle to do, and I think it worked.

I realize not everyone will walk the red carpet for a Disney movie but this fun and a little dressy Ann Coronation Disneybound is perfect for other experiences like Dapper Day at Disneyland, Prom, or another special event.

Frozen 2 Red Carpet Experience

Frozen 2 sign at Dolby Theater in Hollywood
Many Disney premieres are held at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles.

The Frozen 2 world premiere was held at the Dolby Theater, the same theater where the Oscars are held. Unfortunately, they lock up your phones before you enter so an outside pic was the best I could do.

Before heading into the Dolby theater, we walked along the red carpet, taking pictures and soaking in the experience.

I attended Frozen 2 premiere with a group of bloggers, Kristi from The Cactus Chronicles was my red carpet picture buddy and I ran into my friend Sara from Mom Endeavors!

Frozen 2 World Premiere After Party

After we screened the movie, we were ushered into the afterparty which was full of Frozen fun including photo opportunities with Olaf and Kristoff’s sleigh.

This Kristoff and Sven photo was 3D and so much cooler than just standing next to a poster or green screen! Alison from Everyday Shortcuts was one of my after party buddies.

I loved this fun photo opp with Sven and Kristoff!

The activities they had on hand included charades to win a prize from Build a Bear, an Olaf LEGO building station, a learn to draw Olaf station and face painting.

There was lots of yummy food from Wolfgang Puck and themed desserts. McDonald’s was also there with happy meals and soft serve ice cream which was fun.

It’s really hard to capture the magic of a red carpet premiere or afterparty but I hope my pictures help give you a sneak peek at the fun!
